Krýsuvík is a remote and isolated project located in the countryside of the Reykjanes Peninsula, approximately 35 km from Reykjavík. There is no public transportation directly to the project, and access to nearby towns and other areas requires planning and private transportation. Please keep this in mind before applying, as the experience involves living in a quiet, rural environment with limited access to shops, services, and independent transportation. Volunteers should be comfortable with this type of remote setting and with spending most of their time within the project.
