The Daycare is an institution that emerged with the idea to fulfill the needs of families of the community. Where the majority of parents that have to work during the day, there is a general necessity of a place for them to leave their children and not have to worry about them or the way they are treated.

With this daycare centre they can choose to leave their children in a pleasant place that guaranties their safety, but above all cares for them with love, security, reliability and responsibility.

A caring and learning service according to their needs is guaranteed, taking each child as a unique individual, promoting the harmonious living and the values, but above all building their own knowledge through experimentation and games.

The project is located in an amazing location. With sun-splashed beaches and great Pacific surf, Costa Rica's northwestern province of Guanacaste teems with visitors from around the globe. The region's dry tropical climate encompasses a varied landscape.

Popular white-sand beaches line the coast, and to the east, the Guanacaste Mountains feature fascinating national parks and caldera volcanoes. Travelers of every type can enjoy Guanacaste's myriad of activities, and Liberia's international airport (LIR) provides excellent regional access.

Typical day

Volunteer tasks generally consist of:

  • To help feed/take care the children
  • To teach several skills and languages
  • Technical training to make handcrafts
  • To design, manage and evaluate projects
  • To help out in the kitchen
  • To play with the children, teach them Physical Education
  • Coming up with new and entertaining activities for the children to participate in.
Patience, initiative and tolerance are necessary and the rules of the institution need to be respected. Please dress appropriately, you need to be a good example for the children.
