Why join this program?

World hunger is indeed a critical issue that affects numerous vulnerable populations, including children, senior citizens, and homeless individuals. The Soup Kitchen program in Korea provides an opportunity for volunteers to make a difference by serving food to those in need and helping alleviate hunger in the local community.

By joining the Soup Kitchen program, you will have the chance to contribute to the effort of providing meals to hundreds and thousands of people who are facing daily challenges in meeting their basic nutritional needs. Your involvement in this program can have a direct impact on the lives of those who are struggling and bring them some relief and nourishment.

The program is designed to address the hunger problem and support the most vulnerable members of society. By volunteering in the Soup Kitchen, you will actively participate in the preparation, serving, and distribution of meals to those in need. This hands-on experience will allow you to engage with the community, learn about their stories, and witness the impact of your efforts firsthand.

It’s important to recognize that the Soup Kitchen program plays a vital role in addressing food insecurity, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The economic and social challenges brought about by the pandemic have further intensified the need for food assistance worldwide. By joining this program, you will be contributing to the collective effort to combat hunger and make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families who are struggling to access sufficient food.

Which issues do I address when participating?

Your participation in the Soup Kitchen program in Korea will not only provide nourishment to those in need but also offer a sense of hope and support to the community. It is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the fight against hunger and make a tangible impact on the lives of individuals who are facing difficult circumstances.

The Soup Kitchen program in Korea provides an opportunity to actively participate in the movement to eliminate hunger and share free meals with those in need. The soup kitchen is conveniently located just three stations away from the guest house, allowing for easy access and a close connection to the vibrant district it serves.

Who will I be working with?

The program is organized in collaboration with the non-profit organization called “Dail Community,” which has been making valuable contributions to society since its establishment in 1998. Dail Community initiated a food sharing movement by providing instant noodles and rice to homeless individuals, drifters, and impoverished senior citizens. Over the years, the organization has expanded its efforts to include various initiatives such as free education for less fortunate children and providing medical care to low-income families in Korea and underdeveloped countries facing healthcare challenges.

About the project

We believe real change can happen when people find life-enhancing opportunities.

Meet your organization

Who we are

Global Nomadic empowers positive change by connecting people with projects

Global Nomadic was founded in 2008 with one clear goal – to empower change by connecting people. We believe real change can only come about when people are able to find the right opportunities with the right organisations. Over the past years, we have grown to offer high-quality international internships in a wide range of professional fields, but our aim is still the same; connecting people with projects.

We provide aspiring young professionals with exactly what is needed to set them apart in the very competitive world we live in. We exist to help you further your career through educational international work experience placements, but also to help NGOs around the world carry out their community-building work, by connecting them with you. By working with local NGOs, charities, and communities you will gain excellent experience and valuable skills, aiding you to further your ambitions – whilst making a difference where it’s needed most.

This world is not a perfect place – and we don’t claim to be able to fix it. But what we can do is provide a bridge between you and the people who can. Our mission is to work towards a better and more stable world by connecting people with projects. We believe we work better together than apart. We believe travel and exposure to other cultures, beliefs and ways of life are the best ways to achieve this. We believe you can travel the world and travel your career.

What we do

We provide access to vetted, worthwhile international internships in a wide range of professional fields.

We work in a range of different fields from veterinary medicine and environmental conservation to journalism, public health, business development and education – matching you with reputable, worthwhile organisations around the world. Unlike many other volunteer organisations, we have personally visited and vetted our project partners, to ensure you a safe and worthwhile international experience.

We also choose to only work with partners whose projects contribute to their local community in a sustainable manner. We do not support, nor advocate orphanage tourism or irresponsible wildlife conservation projects. Our aim is to help our project partners focus on their core work by offering an easy way to find committed interns and volunteers to support their daily activities.

Our volunteers

Global Nomadic is a trusted community meeting space connecting people with NGO projects around the world.

We also offer helping you to source and organise the best flights, insurance, visas and all the many other things you will need before you reach your project destinations, including country guides, packing lists and much more! We want to make sure that you have the volunteering time of your life.

Global Nomadic personally visits all volunteer sites to ensure a quality experience for volunteers. You will receive support before, during and after your placement.
