Integrated Learning Experiences Central America was founded with the idea in mind to make a positive impact in the communities that we work in. The philosophy of the organization has roots in the founders' experience in the Peace Corps and the ultimate goal is to help communities help themselves in the long term.
The physiotherapy program is a great fit for people looking for experience with real patients in physiotherapy clinics. Interns joining this program must have experience in PT, rehabilitation, or occupational therapy. Depending on the intern's profile he or she can be assigned to different clinics that focus on chronic pain management, sports injuries, or geriatrics.
Accommodation:
Host family , in private room with two meals per day
Participation in cultural activities.
On call support throughout the service.
Coordination with the host country organization of volunteer service.
Orientation to volunteer work or intern placement
Welcome at airport with transport.
Certificate of program completion.
Airport pickup is provided to host community.
Host family with two meals per day.

Breakfast and dinner.
Vegetarian diets ok. If you have other dietary restrictions a kitchen is available to cook your own meals.
Arrival days are every Sunday except the last two Sundays of December.
Orientation is held on Mondays.
