Motivated and energetic volunteers as a small to mid group, couples or individuals are welcome to participate in the renovation to school building for refugee children.

SMILE is organizing non formal education for slums and street kids around the country. In our school building we need motivated volunteers to repaint and renovate . If any couple or individuals  or group are interested to help ,they are welcome. 

Non formal school building is very important part of the project. Our project targeting to find a solution to this problem. Volunteers' role would be help in our ongoing renovation and repainting activities. Its mainly manual job. like cleaning building surroundings ,painting walls and windows grill , organizing brick pile , breaking bricks , swiping and moping floor / roof / stairs. Volunteers not required to bring any equipment. Material would be organized by organization. Work is not heavy  rather enjoyable for any small groups, couples, families .

Our volunteers will be living at our center with local members as a family. There will be coordinator in our program but mostly volunteer will have to do the job by themselves. Volunteers can have a big experience of cultural and language exchange while helping in our project.
we need volunteer groups or energetic individuals to help us in this ongoing construction activities.

Breakfast: 8-9 pm

Morning work : 10 am- 1pm
Lunch: 1:30 -2:30 pm
Afternoon : 3-6 pm
Dinner: 7-8 pm

weekends are free for volunteers . They have a chance to explore the city center and around. There is a weekends trip package available against extra price as well.

Minimum Age: 18 years

In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

India is a big country with many local languages, hindi is the national language though there are many other languages spoken in the different states of India. There are local people in every city know English. Volunteers need to speak basic English as their Indian host families speak with them in English.
