Age 18+

Football in Ghana is said to be one of the sport activities every child wants to join. So with this, we use football to make the children stay in school and when they perform well in class they are always allowed to play the beginning of every football training. Volunteers will support the couch and the children in their daily training at the field, helping them in their assignments and guiding them. Volunteers will act as couches to support and help with daily tasks on the field.  The volunteer will also inspire the children by creating exciting activities for the children to do in their training section, keeping them motivated and helping to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children to flourish. The couch and the volunteers are working together in a team, so you need to be a team player and open minded to both Ghanaian culture the Western Culture. As a good volunteer, you should be friendly, creative, spontaneous and for sure interested in the Ghanaian culture. Every day is different with new and exciting tasks and challenges. The children are looking forward to playing games and spend time with you!

Typical day

Volunteers will work hand in hand with the couches with their daily schedule beginning around 3pm to 6pm. The day will begin with the daily preparations of educational materials for the football training and getting the players or children settled and ready to train. Volunteers will then assist the couches to execute their field plan, by helping the couches train the players or children and working one on one with the players or children to ensure they finish the task given on the field. At the end of the training section, when the players or children are leaving, volunteers will help to clean up and prepare for another exciting day.
