Sobre el programa
Support 40 children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities at a royal-patronage centre near Chiang Mai: classrooms in the morning, life skills after lunch.

It supports around forty people with autism and intellectual disabilities — about half of them children aged ...
Día típico
Friday — Arrival in Chiang Mai and transfer to the volunteer house.
Saturday and Sunday — Two-day orientation: Thai culture, greetings, how the local transport works, and a half-day city tour, finishing with a cultural welcome dinner and show. You also read through reports written by previous ...
Actividades de tiempo libre
Weekends are entirely yours, and Chiang Mai is one of the easiest cities in Asia to spend them in.
In the city — Hundreds of temples, most of them free: Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang inside the old moat, and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep up the mountain for the view back over the valley. The Sunday ...

Detalles a la llegada
Arrival is a Friday, at Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX).
🚩 Airport pickup runs between 8am and 8pm only. If your flight lands outside that window, book a hotel near the airport for the night and the local team will collect you the following morning. Check your arrival time before you book, not after.
🚩 The return airport drop is not included.
🚩 Daily transport to the project is not included — the centre is a 15–20 minute ride from the volunteer house and costs about US$2 a day. Small, but budget for it across a long placement.
Already in Chiang Mai? The team will meet you at an agreed point instead of the airport.
Documents — A clean criminal background check, a CV and a copy of your passport, all before you travel. You pay for the background check yourself, and without it the placement cannot go ahead.
Visa — Most nationalities get 30 days visa-free on arrival; a 60-day tourist visa can be obtained in advance, and a 90-day non-immigrant visa is possible but slow and paperwork-heavy. Placements longer than your visa allows need planning before you fly — ask us. If you leave Thailand mid-placement, re-entry and any new visa are your responsibility.
What to bring — Lightweight clothes and rainwear, walking shoes, sandals, and a light jacket or jumper: evenings between November and February get properly cool.
Health — Hepatitis A and B and typhoid are the usual recommendations. See a travel clinic before you go.
Insurance — Travel and medical insurance is mandatory.
When to come — Weekly Friday starts, year-round. July and August are the busiest, which is when you will meet the most other volunteers. November to February is the coolest and driest stretch, and the most comfortable to work in.
