Discover the vital role conservation institutions play in protecting wildlife from extinction. Through this internship, explore how scientific knowledge, responsible animal management, and coordinated conservation efforts help safeguard threatened species and maintain populations that may become essential to their survival in the wild.

    Program Overview

The program takes place at Wrocław Zoo, one of Poland’s oldest and most established zoological institutions. Beyond its diverse animal collection and renowned Afrykarium, the zoo contributes to global conservation efforts through endangered species breeding programs, research, education, and initiatives supporting wildlife in their natural habitats.

This experience offers a distinctive perspective on biodiversity protection and the professional opportunities available in the field.

    Important Considerations

This internship is primarily observation-based, with practical involvement depending on the assigned department and the zoo’s requirements. Participants should not expect unrestricted access to animal enclosures or direct interaction with wildlife. Animal handling, feeding, veterinary procedures, and specialized conservation activities are subject to authorization and are not guaranteed.
