This project is a kindergarten and soup kitchen where volunteer help with the more 50 children that attend there every day.

Volunteer's Tasks
· Help the two teachers cook and serve the food, do the dishes, the cleaning or any other tasks there are to be done
· Interact with the children through games, songs, drawings and workshops.
· Help take care of the children.
· Help to plan the activities in the kindergarten.
· Interact with the kids through games, songs, drawings or other kind of workshops.
· Teach the children numbers, the alphabet in Spanish, their first words.
· Maintain personal contact and be a role model for the kids.
Local Coordination
The teacher and founder of the kindergarten is the Voluntario Global coordinator onsite. She will guide the volunteer to feel immersed. She will assign tasks or suggests activities or workshops that volunteers can develop.
Key Information
It is important to build relationships with the kids that will make you earn their trust and respect. Children are always eager to learn and play and we try to stimulate their learning. Some of them don’t get enough attention at home and that is why they are always looking for affection and attention to their everyday little accomplishments. Having a smile for them is the most important thing.
Location and First Day at Work
“Villa 21” is located 25 minutes away of downtown city. The volunteer gets there by bus. On their first day, the volunteer will meet with the coordinator of Voluntario Global who will accompany you to the project to show you how to get there. Once you get to the neighborhood you will meet with Stella, who will introduce other helpers and children. During this day, volunteer will begin to understand the work and know the children in order to feel useful and integrate during the following days.
Dagelijkse activiteiten
In about 40-minute by bus volunteers reach the project from downtown.
The center open from Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Volunteers will be assigned a specific schedule according to the Center’s needs and volunteers preferences. 3 or 4 days a week.
Volunteers can play with the children, organize activities to entertain them such as music, movies, sports or art activities. They will help teachers with schedule classes. More than this, they will help to serve breakfast and lunch to the children.
Vrijetijdsactiviteiten
Volunteer can enjoy the city during the weekend. Buenos Aires offers a wide range of cultural activities: theaters, museums, concerts, etc.

Voorwaarden
Om deel te nemen aan het programma dien je tenminste 18 jaar oud te zijn op de startdatum van het programma. Er kunnen uitzonderingen gemaakt worden indien je een bewijs van toestemming kan aantonen van uw wettelijke voogd(en) of samen met je ouders deelneemt.
Je dient over volgende taalkennis te beschikken Spaans (basis niveau)

Volunteers staying longer than 90 days, will only pay for accommodation after week 12th.
Feel at home in Buenos Aires
Voluntario Global works with accommodation in central Buenos Aires. Meals are not included here, however, you will have access to a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your meals every day. Our coordinators in Buenos Aires always make sure the accommodations are clean, comfortable, and respectful of our volunteers. You will be sharing a room with other volunteers and travelers from all over the world. You will also have free computers and wifi access to use. Bedsheets and towels will also be provided.

Makkelijke toegang op de project site
Visum, vluchten, reisverzekering en vaccinaties zijn NIET inbegrepen in de programmakosten.
Afhaling van de luchthaven is ook niet inbegrepen in de programmakosten.
Eten, tussendoortjes en drankjes zijn bijkomende kosten.
De dichtste luchthaven is Ministro Pistarini Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires. We assisteren u met het vinden van goedkope vluchten naar Argentinië.
Naar het buitenland reizen is een avontuur en het is best om goed voorbereid te zijn. Plots ziek worden of gewond raken, annulaties of diefstal - een reisverzekering voor Argentinië biedt zekerheid en is een meerwaarde.
Als je de intentie hebt om als vrijwilliger aan de slag te gaan in Argentinië dien je eerst medisch advies in te winnen alvorens je eropuit trekt. Kijk de benodigde vaccinaties na voor Argentinië.
