    Embark on a transformative volunteer journey in Kingston, Jamaica. Our program focuses on improving literacy and numeracy skills among children in Kingston, tackling educational disparities.

    As a teaching assistant, your role is central to this initiative. Collaborate with local teachers to bring the curriculum to life, engaging in activities like special education, arts, IT, and sports. Facilitate sessions on reading, math, and cultural exchange to enhance students' skills.

    Volunteers undergo orientation in Kingston , with provided accommodations for an immersive community experience.

    Collaborate with local teachers and community leaders, contributing to a sustainable, community-driven initiative.

    No special equipment is needed. Enthusiasm and dedication matter more than prior experience. Join us in Montego Bay to support and empower the children, breaking educational barriers for a brighter future.

    Minimum leeftijd: 18 jaar

    Om deel te nemen aan het programma dien je tenminste 18 jaar oud te zijn op de startdatum van het programma. Er kunnen uitzonderingen gemaakt worden indien je een bewijs van toestemming kan aantonen van uw wettelijke voogd(en) of samen met je ouders deelneemt.

    Upon arrival at the airport, a local team member will warmly welcome you and provide transportation to the volunteer accommodation. The Program Fee comprehensively covers your accommodation expenses.

    Accomodatie

    Throughout your placement, enjoy comfortable accommodation at homestays and hostels alongside fellow volunteers. These facilities provide a shared bedroom and bathroom. They are basic but clean and secure with a communal kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and utensils for preparing meals. Living amenities include electricity, running water, Wi-Fi, and Western-style bathrooms. While there's no air-conditioning, fans are provided, and water is not typically heated. Be sure to bring your toiletries and towels.
