Help shape the minds of children in the classroom and make a long-lasting impact on their futures. As a volunteer in the education program, you will be assisting a teacher in a class or teaching a subject directly, depending on your experience.



The subject of the class will depend on what you know and the number of volunteers at the time. Popular teaching subjects are:

-English

-French

-Math

-Science

-Computer literacy

-Sports

The education program is perfect for volunteers that like working with children, are very creative, can express themselves, and can keep students engaged in learning.


Education is the key to development. So why not teach what you know? The education program is for you to teach what you know the best. For example, if you are good at math you will be teaching math at a rural school. If you are knowledgeable about computers you will teach children computer skills.

You will be working in rural schools and after-school programs where you will be part of a team of teachers. You will be:

-Teaching or supporting subjects like English, Math, Science, sports and more

-Helping teachers conduct environmental awareness classes and self-esteem workshops

-Help after school programs by tutoring children.


Classes start 8 am -12pm for morning shift and 2pm-6 pm for afternoon shift

Minimum leeftijd: 18 jaar

Om deel te nemen aan het programma dien je tenminste 18 jaar oud te zijn op de startdatum van het programma. Er kunnen uitzonderingen gemaakt worden indien je een bewijs van toestemming kan aantonen van uw wettelijke voogd(en) of samen met je ouders deelneemt.

Integrated Learning Experiences was founded in 2005 by former Peace Corps staff that wanted to provide flexible volunteer programs with a positive impact.

Integrated Learning Experiences’ (INLEX) mission is to strengthen human resources in Central America and South America through volunteer programs, educational travel and internship opportunities.

We do this because we believe in the principle that every volunteer can make a difference.
