This program is designed to help children who need it the most. Work with children in Costa Rica in low-income daycare centers and orphanages.

Costa Rica is a developing country that needs as much help as possible. Help shape the future of our world by spending some time with children that will benefit from your care and teachings. INLEX works with daycares from low-income neighborhoods near of San Ramón, Costa Rica where resources are very limited. Daycares benefit from the work of volunteers, as most of the time they are understaffed or underfunded.

  • People who dedicate time and energy at a daycare center have an opportunity to make an important difference in the lives of children. This voluntary role requires hard work, but it is rewarding for people who enjoy interacting with children and guiding them as they grow and learn. 

  • The childcare program is perfect for volunteers that are energetic,full of initiative and creativity. The work is rewarding, fun and a great experience. If you have previous experience with children or education you can help implement new games or strategies to keep the kids learning throughout the whole day.

Costa Rica is considered a tropical country, but it features its own plethora of microclimates. Each of these destinations – which might be separated by only a few hours of driving – feature their own unique and unforgettable adventures. There are hot springs tucked away in lush rainforests, hanging bridges over misty cloud forests, palm-tree studded white-sand beaches, dramatic seaside cliffs, the arid rolling hills of Guanacaste – there’s no end to the experiences! Visit 

Arenal Volcano and wonder at a massive volcano and surrounding verdant rainforest, and then the next day you might find yourself only a few hours away relaxing on Papagayo’s white sand beaches, watching the kids stand-up paddleboard, or kayaking among the mangrove jungles of Tortuguero.

Minimum leeftijd: 18 jaar

Om deel te nemen aan het programma dien je tenminste 18 jaar oud te zijn op de startdatum van het programma. Er kunnen uitzonderingen gemaakt worden indien je een bewijs van toestemming kan aantonen van uw wettelijke voogd(en) of samen met je ouders deelneemt.

Je dient over volgende taalkennis te beschikken Engels (basis niveau) ou Spaans (basis niveau)

Integrated Learning Experiences was founded in 2005 by former Peace Corps staff that wanted to provide flexible volunteer programs with a positive impact.

Integrated Learning Experiences’ (INLEX) mission is to strengthen human resources in Central America and South America through volunteer programs, educational travel and internship opportunities.

In addition to this, INLEX provides opportunities for students and professionals to further gain experience in their field of choice by matching participants with the best opening available.

INLEX was set founded by former Peace Corps staff in Guatemala in 2005 who wanted to provide flexible programs for volunteers in Central America. This flexibility allows our participants the option to commit for as long as they want in the area they are best suited to support; creating a positive impact and a rewarding experience. We do this because we believe in the principle that every volunteer can make a difference.

Many years and happy people later, we continue working with key partner projects to develop communities in the Latin American region.
