The community helper & round trips in India program is a travel and volunteer opportunity in India for volunteers. This is a rare experience that volunteers will never forget for the rest of their lives. 

Time duration will be 4 weeks for this program. The volunteers will work every day for 4 hours in one of our volunteering program and on the weekend they will enjoy our tour programs. The community helper will work in our teaching program for 4 weeks, after week they enjoy our Manali tour, then on the weekend they enjoy our golden temple tour program. Like this our volunteers can gain a cultural experience by volunteering and traveling in India.

After every volunteer program, volunteers will join a tour program and go back to our program location which is in Dharamshala, only after the Taj Mahal tour volunteers will go to Delhi. It is the last day for our community helpers in India so they have a full day to visit Delhi's famous spots like Red fort, Lotus temple, India gate, Akshar Dham temple, Qutab minar, and local markets. The next day a flight will be waiting for our volunteers to their home destinations.

Our Programs

English teaching instructor - In this program volunteers will work in local village schools to teach English language, grammar, alphabetics, reading, writing and speaking English.

Information about Tours

Manali Tour

Manali is situated in the north of India. It is a primary attraction for the tourist who go to visit the Himalayas. Manali is located on the banks of river Beas, the magical land is known for its natural hot springs and snow capped mountains. It is one  of the most beautiful hill station situated in the north Indian state Himachal Pradesh. Manali experiences a pleasant climate throughout the year. Its maximum summer day temperature goes up to 30 degrees C which falls substantially at night. The main attraction of Manali are the Rohtang Pass , the Hidimbha Devi temple , the Vishist Spring, the Manali sanctuary, the Winter carnival and the Tibetan Monastery. Volunteers will join this tour by taxi, it takes 7 hour to reach Manali and they stay there for 2 days.

Himalayan Trek Tour

The trek to Triund in Dharamshala  is one of the most popular activity among tourist and visitors in Mcleod Ganj. Triund Hill is referred to as the jewel of Dharamshala. This heavenly retreat from the madding crowd of Mcleod Ganj is a short trek of 9 km. Triund hill is located in the Dauladhar range of Himalayas in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh at an elevation of 9800 feet (2975)m. One of the reasons for the popularity of Triund Trek is its nature. Tourists and picnickers could do it in a single or 2 days and return back to Mcleod Ganj or Dharamshala. For a night stay there is a guest house and we also provide tents for our volunteers.

Golden Temple tour

Golden Temple is located in the city of Amritsar in the state of Punjab. It is a place of worship for all men and women irrespective of their cast or social status. Guru Granth Sahib, the most holy text of sikhism, is always present inside the Golden Temple. As the name states the Golden Temple is made of pure gold and thus attracting thousands of tourists from all around the world. Volunteers will join this tour by taxi and they will stay there for 2 days. During their stay, the volunteers will visit the Golden temple, the famous Wagha Border, which is an international border between India and Pakistan.

Taj Mahal Tour

The Taj Mahal is a symbol of love and also counts among the Seven Wonders of the World. That’s why thousands of international tourists come every year to visit this wonder of India. Volunteers will join this tour by train and will stay for a whole day in Agra.

Volunteers will work everyday for 4 hours in our volunteer programs, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. There will be different volunteer programs to join every week.

Fritidsaktiviteter

Working hours of our volunteers are 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday. The evening time is free to read books, listen to music, watch movies, visit local places and markets or shopping.

Tjenester fra Pari Voluntourism Solutions

We provide our volunteers 

  • accommodation

  • transport to and from the airport in Delhi with volvo busses
  • teaching materials

All transport by train, Volvo bus, car, hotel accommodation, every day breakfast, lunch, dinner, water, coffee, tea, materials for volunteer work. All monuments entry fees.

Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

At the starting and of the project we will collect volunteers from the airport and take them to the project site and drop them off at the airport at the end of the project.

Overnatting

Our large volunteer house in Dharamshala is basic but clean. It is situated in a safe neighbourhood and comes with a security (night) guard. The rooms are provided with bunk beds for four people. All rooms have attached or non-attached bathrooms with a toilet (toilet paper will be provided). The running water in the shower is cold, it will only be heated up during the winter season (late October – early March). A single room can be requested upon availability and with a small extra charge only by couples.

In our volunteer house, the volunteers have access to computers with broadband, a sky TV with English and Hindi channels, a film library and a book library.

Volunteers are responsible for the cost of their own phone call charges.

Mat og drikke

All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) within the accommodation are native to the region of India and freshly prepared by our house chef. The meals are mostly north Indian curries and traditional Himachali food, so the meals can often be vegetarian. Non vegetarian food is prepared only on special demand and it will charge an extra amount.  

Moreover you can mention your food related allergies and it will be kept in mind while preparing the food.

We have water purification facilities on site that volunteers can use to fill their water bottles.

Detaljer ved ankomst

Volunteers can join our programs throughout the year. Arriving on Delhi airport, volunteers have to stay 1 night at a hotel in Delhi, because after a long flight they need rest. International flights arrive mostly in the evening or at midnight, so we start our journey in the next morning to our project destination Dharamshala by Volvo bus.

About Us

Welcome to Pari Voluntourism Solutions for Voluntourism in India. The aim of launching Pari Voluntourism Solutions is to provide cross culture experience with travel and volunteering opportunities to international volunteers. Pari Voluntourism Solutions works to serve people, especially women and children, who are living in rural villages of Dharamshala in the best possible way. Our priority is to provide safe volunteering and travelling programs to our volunteers. 

The Location

We are working in Dharamshala , the home town of the DALAI LAMA. Daharamshala is situated in north India in the state of Himachal Pradesh. All the programs are arranged by us in rural areas of Dharamshala and our motive and aim is to give education to poor children and decrease the gap between rich and poor people of rural Himachal. All these programs are organized by us in the range of 10 to 25 kms of Dharamshala Town. Volunteers can join our programs for a minimum stay of 2 weeks and a maximum stay of 12 weeks which are running the whole year. Students, volunteers, couples, everyone who wants to enjoy this combination of volunteering and travelling are welcome.
