This is a general renovation project with different possible locations, depending on where work and support are needed. During the warmer months, the project can be based in Borðeyri and Brú, where there are ongoing renovation and maintenance projects. During the winter months, the group may instead work in Krýsuvík, where the focus shifts to indoor renovation and maintenance due to the weather conditions.

Volunteers take part in practical renovation and maintenance work at the location where support is currently needed. Tasks may include painting, repairing walls, floors, doors, and windows, insulation, small construction projects, and maintaining volunteer houses and community buildings.

The exact tasks and location may vary depending on the season, weather, and current project needs. Volunteers will receive guidance from local supervisors and WF Iceland.

The project is suitable for volunteers who enjoy hands-on work, renovation, construction, and practical tasks. Both short-term and long-term volunteers are welcome, with longer stays encouraged for those who would like to become more involved in ongoing renovation projects.

The Camp Leader coordinates the daily activities and supports communication between WF Iceland, the local supervisors, and the volunteer team.

Main responsibilities include:

• Coordinating daily renovation activities and tasks.
• Supporting volunteers during the work.
• Organizing cooking, cleaning, and house schedules.
• Communicating with the local supervisor and WF Iceland.
• Helping organize free-time activities.
• Creating a positive and respectful team environment.

Camp Leaders are also equal members of the volunteer team and participate in the renovation work alongside the other volunteers.

As the project may take place in different locations and seasons, volunteers should be prepared for both outdoor and indoor renovation work and changing Icelandic weather.
