Our projects aim to reduce poverty and inequalities, through education, healthcare and sustainable strategies focused on ethical volunteering and social well-being.
Volunteer Vietnam was founded in 2004 by Mr Viet Dang. Mr Viet was an English teacher at a high school in Da Nang city. He had a chance to work with many international volunteer teachers to teach conversational English to many disadvantaged children. He was impressed about the volunteering spirit and the great impact of volunteer programs on local communities in need in Vietnam.
Mr Viet decided to establish Volunteer Vietnam in July, 2004. Our volunteer programs offer international volunteers the opportunities to support the lives of around 2,500 disadvantaged people in Da Nang central city and Mekong Delta, Vietnam.
For nearly 20 years of operation, we have been placing around 2,000 international volunteers in Vietnam.
Our mission is to connect people with local communities in need in Vietnam.
We run high ethical volunteer programs which international volunteers work together with our staff to provide daily needs to many disadvantaged people at Children Relief Homes, Social Support Centers, Disadvantaged Schools in Vietnam.
Our goal is to improve the quality of life for the disadvantaged people in Vietnam and play a role in the UN Sustainable Development Goals

We support local communities with problems and delayed development in:
Since foundation, we have been placing many volunteers to help with Conversational English teaching for more than 1,000 young kids aged from 4 to 11 at the kindergarten and primary schools. The schools do not have enough English teacher and some not any teachers. Our programs have encouraged greatly to the English teaching and learning at the schools. In addition, we also teach other subjects such as art, music and sport to the children.
We have been providing physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other treatment activities to many disabled people at the Social Support Centers and Children Relief Homes. Our programs contribute to improve both physical and mental health for many disabilities.
