Nepal loses about 530000 Disability adjusted Life years ( DALYs) per hear to injury . By projecting the current trends, injuries are estimated to become the 3rd most common cause of DALY loss n Nepal by 2020 as compared to the 9th most common cause currently .

Volunteers will be involved in a professional ambulance service or EMS in Nepal . you will perform in a Pre Hospital emergency care performed in the field offering a variety of medical interventions some of which include splinting fractures , bracing neck, spinal cord injuries , stopping bleeding, clearing air passageways and starting IV fluids for patients in shock.
Ambulance will be furnishes with specialized life saving equipment and a highly trained Emergency medical Technician ,
The Ambulances will comprise both state of the art Basic life Supports (BLS) and Advances life support (ALS) ambulances. Equipment includes IV fluids, Oxygen, suction Pump, Bandages dressing , collapsible wheeled stretcher- trolley, spine board with head immobilizer , scoop stretcher , vacuum splints, cervical collar and folding wheel chair\ stair chair etc.
