Volunteers will work from 6 AM to 12 PM, 5 days per week. Afternoons are free and during weekends, there will be city tours and visiting of local nomadic families!
The project is located in Mongolia. It extends through the Khentii Mountains and includes the western edge of the Mongolian steppe at the boundaries of Altanbulag, Argalant and Bayankhangai Soums of Töv Province. The Project is also a national Park and is about 100 km from the capital city of Ulaanbaatar to the west.
There will be many opportunities to go horse riding, wildlife watching or even visit local nomadic families and learn the Mongolian Culture and way of life!
The Fee includes:
You will arrive in Ulan Bator where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation at the project
Volunteers live in Shared accommodation in a traditional Mongolian Ger (Nomadic style tent used by mongolians) on the project site each with two separate beds. During the cold weathers, a room with a heating system will be provided instead. Laundry will be done by the project however, there’s a fee attached for this service. Things like plates, glasses, pots and pans, bedding, etc. are all provided so you will not need to bring anything of that nature.
Three meals a day included during your entire stay. The project tries to accommodate vegetarians and other dietary restrictions. Volunteers are advised to notify us of such restrictions for meal and grocery planning (Due to the project’s remote location, this is essential).
There are no specific start or arrival dates however, we recommend that you start the project on a Monday.
