Volunteers with a range of skills can assist on the Creative Technologies project:
~ Experienced website developers can help create or update websites incorporating relevant content and media to support charitable initiatives;
~ Graphic designers can help to create a range of marketing materials – such as flyers, print advertisements, website content, social media posts or logos and e-books;
~ Volunteers with experience in videography or film can create promotional videos or documentaries;
~ Photography lovers can help NGOs in documenting their activities, creating catalogues, and providing images for social media and marketing material.
If you have a preference in regards to the type of NGO you would like to work with, please note this in your application when you apply and we will do our best to match you to that focus area. These NGOs generally won’t have an abundance of resources available, so volunteers need to provide their own laptops, design software (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent) and/or camera equipment in order to participate on this project. Volunteers will be required to have prior skills, so please ensure you include all relevant qualifications and/or experience in your application.
After the initial orientation, you will join the morning or afternoon shift at your placement and will work for approximately 3 to 5 hours per day.
