Age 17+
In Rincon del Mar, environmental protection is a priority pointed out by all local actors. Indeed, the increase in tourism and the village's limited resources have resulted in poor environmental management. The village is a victim of an accumulation of massive plastic waste that pollutes the soil, mangroves and sea, and dangerously threatens the balance of the ecosystem as well as the village's resources. Local opinion is unanimous: we must find ways to act together to protect the environment in Rincon del Mar! To meet these challenges, LifeTime Projects has co-developed an ecological project with its local partner Vivac't.

Presentation of the mission
Through this ecological mission, LifeTime Projects allows you to take part in change by participating and leading activities for different audiences (children, residents, tourists). Thanks to an awareness-raising approach, the local association Vivac't acts daily for the protection of the environment. The actions in which you can take part are structured around 4 main themes:

- Awareness and education for environmental protection
- Improvement of waste management in the village
- Mangrove Reforestation
- Water conservation in the village

During this ecological mission, Vivac't gives you the opportunity to live in an ecological house where all daily tasks are carried out with awareness and eco-responsible attitudes. In a soothing setting, this mission is ideal to recharge your batteries and discover an alternative and ecological way lifestyle. In addition to the eco-citizen activities carried out with our local partner Vivac't, you will be led to share the daily tasks of the house, such as gardening, agriculture or construction, essential for life in the community.
