Our community-based programs are focused on empowering the local communities and individual people.
You experience the daily life and culture in Tanzania while also having the opportunity to witness the growth of one of the fastest-growing African economies.
Volunteers will participate and develop the daily operations of the NGO. We commonly have 15-40 volunteers and interns from different parts of the world, from over 400 universities we co-operate with and represent a variety of professions.
All this needs to be managed, including personal weekly plans and reports of each student, making budgets and accounts, developing ongoing community programs, and planning new approaches.
The internship outcome is to learn to use and get experience to implement your education in developing country conditions with limited capacitation and, most importantly, to learn work skills to run an NGO in Africa.
Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Your program can be from 2 weeks up to 12 months.
We can take students in all year round as all programs are ongoing. We accept applications from all students and alumni. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities.
You can also conduct thesis and related tasks along with your internship placement.
The typical daily morning tasks include practical fieldwork in the schools and communities and planning, reporting, and social media visibility functions.
You and your visiting friends can enjoy sustainable tourism, safaris, and local tour options at a low cost. We need your tentative arrival and departure (adjustable) to book you in and open your account.

You can join our groups climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and move on to relax at Zanzibar beaches. We have also a variety of one-day programs for short breaks as diving and snookering at the reefs, swimming with dolphins, rainforest trekking at Kilimanjaro, live African music, a variety of sports programs, craft making as batik making courses, and so on. You will enjoy your stay in Tanzania.

As an eco-compound we use our own design composting dry toilets, we collect shower water and urine and use it as "grey water" for our large garden irrigation. Construction materials include bamboo, recycled bottles and similar. This compound is located in Madale village, so it is as a countryside place but a short distance from the city as well.
We charge accommodation with breakfast and dinner only.
We serve breakfast and dinner as accommodation inclusive. Lunches are available at a nominal cost, but you need to book one every morning as many people are not at the compound we cook and charge only those who are present and wish to have lunch.
All drinks are personal cost. Drinking water is available everywhere at low cost. We also run a compound bar, so you have easy access for drinks and snacks.
