Summit & Share: Himalayan Teaching Trek - Beyond the Ordinary EBC Experience! 🏔️📚

Are you dreaming of an adventure in the Himalayas that offers more than just breathtaking views? Do you want to connect deeply with local communities and make a tangible difference while pursuing an iconic trek? Then our Summit & Share: Himalayan Teaching Trek is designed absolutely for YOU!

This isn't your typical Everest Base Camp journey. We offer a unique, immersive experience that combines meaningful volunteer work with a truly unforgettable trek.

    Why Choose Summit & Share?

    • Support Local Communities: Go beyond being a tourist and actively contribute to the well-being of the Sherpa people. Your presence directly benefits schools and families in the region.

    • Live Like a Local: Experience authentic Sherpa hospitality with a two-week homestay in Salleri, the gateway to Mount Everest. Learn about their simple, traditional way of life and enjoy delicious organic meals prepared by your host family.

    • Empower Young Minds: Volunteer in local community schools, sharing your knowledge and skills with children from marginalized families. Help them in their academic life and contribute to a brighter future.

    • Safer, Stronger Trek: Enjoy a crucial two-week acclimatization period in Salleri (2390m / 7841 ft) before starting your Everest Base Camp trek. This ensures you're physically and mentally prepared for a safer and more successful journey.

    • Deeper Cultural Immersion: Gain a profound understanding of Sherpa culture and the beautiful Khumbu life, an experience far richer than what typical trekkers encounter by just landing in Lukla.

Your Journey with Good Karma Foundation:

    1. Arrival & Orientation: Land in Kathmandu, where you'll be warmly welcomed by the Good Karma Foundation family. Enjoy a general orientation and explore the vibrant city, staying a couple of nights in a homestay near Swayambhunath.

    2. Community Immersion in Salleri: A scenic 260 km drive takes you to Salleri, your home for two weeks. You'll become part of a local family, experience daily village life, enjoy local organic dishes, and embark on hikes around the village and hills.

    3. Meaningful Volunteering: From your second day, you'll join local community schools, assisting children and making a real impact on their education.

    4. The Iconic EBC Trek Begins: After your fulfilling two weeks of volunteering and acclimatization in the village, your dedicated local guide will arrive at your homestay to lead you on the renowned Everest Base Camp trek. This unique starting point gives you a much deeper understanding of the area as you walk towards the famous Lukla, Namche Bazaar, and eventually Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp.

    5. Return Journey: Upon completing your trek, you will depart from Lukla, either flying directly back to Kathmandu or to Ramechhap, followed by a comfortable transfer back to Kathmandu.

    Important Notes:

    • Inclusions: All three daily meals (B, L, D) and accommodations are provided throughout your stay (homestay in Salleri, tea houses/lodges during trek).

    • Flexibility: Itinerary is a general plan, subject to adjustment due to weather, group pace, or local conditions, prioritizing your safety.

    • Acclimatization: Extended Salleri stay and trek rest days ensure optimal acclimatization for high altitude.

    • Unique Experience: This program offers a deeper Everest region experience, starting from Salleri and fostering genuine cultural connection

Your participation in the Summit & Share program does more than just fulfill a travel dream; it directly supports communities, schools, and the sustainable development of this incredible region.
