Sustainable Bolivia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the Bolivian Amazon that partners with local initiatives to provides resources that support ecotourism, regenerative agriculture, health and education.  Volunteers and interns are placed with partner NGOs throughout the country, namely in and around Riberalta, Bolivia.

As a volunteer, you have an important role to play in many of the childcare centers, and special needs centers we work with in Riberalta. Whatever your age, skills, experience or level of Spanish, you can make a positive contribution to the lives of children. We welcome volunteers who are on a vacation, career break, gap year, or retired. We only ask for your enthusiasm and commitment towards the project you are going to work on.

Bolivia is one of the least developed countries in Latin America. Orphanages, daycares and care centers lack funding, are often understaff which is why you have a crucial role to play. Volunteers work together with our partner: you can share ideas, come up with educational activities, while being involved in the daily activities of the center with the children and young adults. At some of the centers there is also a need for help with building and fixing up garden areas, buildings, and playgrounds.

Two Bolivian partner organizations are orphanages seeking volunteers to work alongside in caring for its 25 children ages ranging from 2-20, providing emotional support and implementing  activities such as to music, physical education, arts, dance, gardening or mindfulness activities.  English teaching is one of the activities they are both really interested in, that can help open up children if taught in a dynamic and fun way, while teaching them a useful skill for their future, knowing that the region has big potential to develop touristically.
