Informationen zur Anreise
You can join our program at any time throughout the year. We don't have fixed start dates or specific arrival windows, as the needs of the sanctuary are constant and rescues happen year-round.
Flights and Pickup Most volunteers fly into Roberts International Airport (ROB) via Brussels Airlines, which offers direct flights from Europe. These flights often arrive late in the evening or in the middle of the night. Don't worry about the timing—we will be there to pick you up at the airport regardless of when you land and bring you directly to the sanctuary.
Vaccinations and Health Your health and the safety of our animals are top priorities.
Yellow Fever: This is a mandatory requirement by the Liberian government to enter the country. You must bring your yellow vaccination card with you.
Rabies & Tetanus: These are strictly required for anyone working hands-on with our animals. Because we handle rescues from the wild and the illegal trade, these vaccinations are non-negotiable for your safety.
Visa Process Once your placement is confirmed, we will provide you with an official Letter of Invitation from LiWiSa. However, you are responsible for the actual visa application process. You will need to contact your nearest Liberian Embassy or Consulate to obtain your visa before travel. We recommend starting this process at least a month in advance to ensure everything is ready for your departure.
