Surround yourself with the healing and inspiring spirit of Joseph’s Dream Appaloosas in the silence of the African bush! Learn and sharpen your natural horsemanship skills, help raise foals, and assist with training and backing horses. Learn to truly live and train horses force free and with respect and experience the joy and freedom of this! Share this joy with the children of the community and create moments of healing and awareness.
You will be involved in the daily care of 40+ stud horses and their foals, our miniature horses, Alpacas and crias, and the rehabilitation of neglected equine rescues. Of course, you’ll have time to recharge, relax, get creative and just absorb the beauty of Namibia's stunning nature, free roaming wildlife and our gorgeous horse family.
During your stay with us, develop new skills, make new friends and work with a great team of people. The consistent core of our program comprises our friendly and talented horse workers from the ancient Namibian San tribe. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce had a dream that all nations could live in peace with each other. Allow yourself to open up and learn the language to be spoken to make Joseph's Dream a reality in this world—between people, people and animals, people and this planet.

7:00 Wake up to the amazing birdlife of the African bush :)
8:00 Breakfast with the team followed by the daily activity meeting
8:30 Feeding & Walking horses
9:30 - 13:00 Training Sessions & Morning Activities (Training Lessons / Stable or Training Duty: Cleaning, grooming, training Horses and Alpacas / Vet assistance / Group training)
13:00 Lunch
14:00 Afternoon Activities (Training Lessons,Trail Rides, Practicing, Foal Training, Photoshoots, working with the community, the children and the ponies)
17:00 Free Time
18:30 Dinner to a stunning Afrian sunset (every night! :))

Our peaceful and modern shaped green village provides accomodation for you during your stay in one of our brand-new chalets with private bathroom and mini pool. Our limited number of Volunteers ensures that the desired family character of the program stays alive and provides the opportunity for personal shaped day programs according to your unique interests, talents and desires. There is plenty of free time for you to enjoy the surrounding nature fully (we have free roaming game like kudu, waterbuck, ostriches etc on the property); all the animals, your private little pool or get involved with our community project. You will have time to read and relax amongst the Alpacas, practice your newly achieved horsemanship skills, or practice your art or photo skills in the amazing Namibian light. There is a weekly shuttle provided by us to visit the Capitol Windhoek for a day or weekend (partner accommodation in town available for a special rate). Safari with elephants, lions, rhinos and co can be arranged with nearby conservancy for the weekend days on your own costs. Any further traveling around the country can be easily arranged from our location.

Um an diesem Programm teilzunehmen, musst du zu Programmbeginn mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein. Es kann Ausnahmen geben, wenn du die Erlaubnis deines/r Erziehungsberechtigten vorlegen kannst oder wenn du von deinen Eltern begleitet wirst
Du brauchst folgende Sprachkenntnisse: Englisch (Grundkenntnisse)

We provide and arrange our own airport pickup every FRIDAY for you between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM / Please ensure you are landing during these times or early morning before to avoid waiting periods at the airport. If you arrive or depart on other days you have to book an extra private shuttle service with us for a fee of 35 Euro.

Der nächstgelegene Flughafen ist Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek. Wir helfen dir günstige Flüge nach Namibia zu finden.
Ins Ausland zu gehen ist ein Abenteuer, auf das man sich stets gut vorbereiten sollte. Plötzliche Krankheit oder Verletzung, Stornierung oder Diebstahl - eine Reiseversicherung für Namibia bietet die nötige Sicherheit.
Bevor du deine Freiwilligenarbeit in Namibia antrittst, solltest du dich noch einmal von deinem Arzt beraten lassen und deine erforderlichen Impfungen für Namibia überprüfen.
