Mafanikio Organization is a nonprofit making organization that was established in 2003.  The main reason for its inception was and still is to offer a platform onto which various developmental issues could be addressed.  The driving principles are to promote quality education, community development, climate change, cross cultural understanding and tolerance.  It is believed that if the aforementioned are achieved, the eco system will be balanced allowing security, basic needs and good quality of life.

Technology & internationalization has merged the world to a global village enabling the accessibility to information and visibility of the current events in the world.  In line with this phenomenon, the organization has made a deliberate attempt to champion the interests of community development & international interaction thus promoting rural education and social development on the grassroots level.  

Mafanikio organizes cross cultural exchange programmes where people from all walks of life and nationalities come together to share experiences and work toward the achievement of common goals of community development and internationalization.

Mafanikio is incorporated under the Trustees and Perpetual Succession Act, Cap. 164 and the Trustees Act (Cap 167) of the Laws of Kenya with its registered office in Nairobi.

The organization’s objectives include;

1.      Promoting quality education in marginalized schools

2.      Promoting intercultural integration and understanding

3.       Providing experimental learning

       Spearheading community development

       The organization works in partnership with local and international organization with similar objectives.

 We provide opportunities for experimental learning to international students through our internship program where they work in the fields of medicine and health care, business management, education and social development.

·    We provide volunteering services & placements for local and international students.  Mafanikio has hosted 350 students from different parts of the world in the volunteer & Internship programs. Through these programs, several schools and health facilities have benefitted immensely.

·      Our mentorship programme continues to play a huge role to the youth development in the aforementioned areas to both local and European students who spent between 3 weeks to 5 months in Kenya under our stewardship.

·        Founding of Eco-Green School Mbogolo, a primary school with 210 pupils and proceeding to set up a high school.

·    Providing insights of education in a broader spectrum in the marginalized and rural community through incorporating formal and informal education activities as well as nurturing and mentoring the young adults. As such, we rehabilitate the dilapidated classrooms; provide learning materials to promote quality education.

·      Capacity building training of the youth, some of our alumni have been able to venture in entrepreneurship in different areas while others have pursued professional careers.

·       Mafanikio has heavily invested in social and education development and has tailored programs in order to meet her objectives.
