The insight provided during an entry-level Animal & Veterinary Care volunteering program is aimed to help determine whether a career working with animals is right for you. Volunteers assist with animal care at a veterinarian clinic and, according to any level of current veterinarian training, may additionally shadow and work alongside local veterinarians.
Typical tasks may include feeding and cleaning assistance, as well as providing medication, grooming, and tasks related to customer service within the clinic, front desk - arrange appointments, customer service, care of stationary animals. Volunteers are very important to help with the stationary housed animals. They do need a lot of attention and personal care.
An understanding of basic Spanish is required for this Costa Rica volunteering. All volunteers who are not yet intermediate Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to take Spanish language lessons in addition to their volunteering program. The minimum duration requirement for Animal & Veterinary Care volunteering placements is a commitment of at least 4 weeks.

Volunteers usually do help 7-8 hours a day, 5 days a week!
Usually every day is different. Working hours are most of the time from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm* with an hour break between.
07.00 am - 07.45 am breakfast at your accommodation
08.00 am - 12.00 md volunteer duties
12.00 md - 01.00 pm lunch
01.00 pm - 05.00 pm volunteer duties
06.00 pm supper at accommodation
* working hours can be changed by needs (for example starting at 7:00 am and finishing at 4:00 pm)
Activités de Loisir
During your free time you can go to the beach. You can enjoy activities like hiking, climbing, trekking, horseback riding, relaxing on the beach. Costa Rica do have water sport activities around the project and especially some great surf spots.
Close to
the beach people sell souvenirs, other cities like Manuel Antonio or
Domical are close. Also you can do tours to waterfalls, which are
close to your accomodation. One is in town, the other one close to Domicial. We would reccommend you to do the tour on your own, as it is easy to get there.

Pour participer à ce programme tu dois avoir au moins 18 ans quand le programme commence. Il peut y avoir des exceptions si tu peux montrer la permission de ton tuteur légal ou si tu es accompagné(e) par l'un de tes parents.
Tu dois parler anglais (niveau moyen)
et espagnol (niveau de base)
Spanish (good basic skills) à niveau Good English skills
Aucune restriction. De l'aide venant de tous les coins du monde est bienvenu.

Our team will pick you up at San Jose Airport. We can organize the pick up from the airport till 11.30 am. Our driver will bring you to the bus station in San Jose. The bus takes about 3,5 to 4
hours to your final destination. If you are coming later our driver do offer a add on package with one day overnight at a host family close to the airport.
You will be in a volunteer house where the rooms are very well equipped in a dorm room. You will share a bathroom with other volunteers. Our traveler recommended the accommodation to 100%. The accommodation is about 10-15 minutes by bicycle from the project.
Typcial breakfast and dinner are included, as well during weekend.

L'aéroport le plus proche est Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) à San Jose. Nous t'aidons à trouver des vols pas chers pour aller en Costa Rica.
Partir à l'étranger est une aventure et c'est toujours mieux d'être bien préparé. Que ce soit une maladie soudaine, une blessure ou du vol - une assurance voyage pour Costa Rica te protège en cas de situation imprévue.

You can start the project very flexible, each monday. Arriving day is
Saturday. You will get an pick up at San Jose Airport and on next day a
driver bring you to bus station in San Jose. The bus will take about 3,5
