Our organization depends on the generosity of donors and volunteers to achieve our goals. There are different ways of supporting our cause and we welcome any help we.
Who we are
UCESCO Africa is a charity Non-Governmental Organization, committed to support vulnerable women and children through education, health and micro-business boost to lift their families from poverty; and empower them to take charge of their own future. Families and individuals within these communities, desire change; they long for adequate food, good health, education, and, secure life. They feel hopeless in their current situation, but lack the knowledge and resources to change. They deserve to live a life free from poverty.
UCESCO believes that when women have control over their assets and income, they reinvest in their families and communities. They are therefore able to provide basic necessities like more nutritious food, education for their children, and access to better health care. That’s why we invest in women and female business owners, equipping them with the tools and expertise they need to make their talents/Skills/businesses thrive and grow.

Why choose us
UCESCO has a 100% safety record in Kenya and we mean to keep it. Our programs in
Kenya is safe to experience.
Generally, Kenyans are friendly people by nature, especially towards volunteers who are helping
their community. We advise that no volunteer should be out after dark and that volunteers should stay
indoors after 9 pm. Exceptions are made when volunteers are with UCESCO local volunteer or project
staff. This is merely a precaution, but one that we expect all volunteers to keep. People may stop to say hello and it is polite to respond; however, they will understand if
you are busy and cannot chat for long. Never accept an invitation to visit a stranger’s. We also recommend that you arrange medical, dental, and eye check-ups before you depart, to identify
any issues that might affect your time in Kenya.

Social Impact
As a charity focused on community, we are keen to work with local administrations, organized community groups, individuals, and schools to demonstrate to the communities we work with that there are opportunities in the wider world that are attainable. These partnerships, UCESCO believes, gives these marginalized communities we are serving hope and motivation to see beyond the walls of the situation that they live in.
In the areas we focus our efforts, most women and many youths are living in extreme poverty, earning less than $1.00 per day. They cannot afford education for their children, clean water is scarce, and diseases caused by poor hygiene are prevalent. A great number of women and youths living in these areas lack access to basic services including electricity, running water, and medical care.
